He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Jean Shugart of Palacious, TX and W. T. Shugart; his father-in-law Joseph W. "Red" Creswell of Lake James, N. C.; his sisters, Pat Carpenter (Bill) of Taylor, TX and Evelyn Gauna of Tempe, AZ; and his extended family, Robbie, Eddie, Troy, Pamela and David.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Shugart of Fairfield, Montana; his children, Paul Evan Shugart of Glasgow, Rachel Jungo (Angel) of Astoria, Kameron Gress (Mark) of Clemmons and Kiley Edwards of Morganton; his siblings, Sharon Holbrook (Phil) of Palacious, TX and W. T. "Dub" Shugart (Joy) of Indianapolis, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Tanner, Trinity, Alexandria, Michael, Madison, Alyssa, Leah and Ian; and his great grandchildren, Weston, Zepplin, Trooper, Ellie and Kodi.
