He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Bisson and AJ Bisson; his siblings, Dick and Susan Vollmer; and his granddaughter Megan McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his wife Bertie Bisson (Smith); his children, Ken Bisson, Kathy Maloy (Paul), Jeff Bisson (Jan), Judy Lannan (Bern), Mimi McLaughlin (Rich) and Marc Bisson (Cris); his grandchildren, Melissa Rocchio (Matthew), Jenni Schmitt (Steve), Matt Maloy (Camila), Andrew Bisson (Leehyoung), Sarah Derzay (Ben), Sam Bisson (Afton), Rhett Lannan (Sarah), Ryann Zalko (Ed), Kayla McLaughlin and Liam McLaughlin; and his children, Noah, Silas, Tucker, Jake, Tecla, Eleanor, Michael, Isabel, Gracie, Mason, John, Jhett, Charlie, Griffin, Paxton and Taytum.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church (120 W Riggs St, East Helena, MT 59635). Despite losing parts of two fingers in a carpentry accident, Roger continued practicing dentistry until age 83. And until COVID, he jogged and was a frequent locker room presence at Cross Roads Fitness Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest that any donation be directed to the Sycamore Tree Catholic Retreat Center (sycamoretreeretreat.org) in Swan Lake, Montana.
