He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Louis Smith and Marjorie Louise Smith (Cajune); his brother Johnny Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Hall, Connie Gamble and Donna Walton.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronn Joseph (Deanna), Ryan Lee (Staci) and Cory Richard (Qian); his wife Sue Darling; his grandsons, Gavin, Meyer, Roman and Reiss; and his siblings, Nancy Jo Hall, Mary Louise Smith and Richard Wyman Smith (Lorinda).
