He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Helmuth and Sarah Helmuth Sr.; his wife Sheryl; his daughters, Audrea and Michelle; his granddaughter Korenna; and his sisters, Esther (Dave), Carol (Loren), Avis and Mariam (David).
He is survived by: his daughter Valerie of Williston; his granddaughter Audrey (Chase) of Dickinson; his son Josh (Piney) of Fishtail; his grandchildren, Kylie (Cody) of Coeur d'Alene and Dalton of Billings; and his brothers, Ervin (Ruthann) of Mylo, Virgil of Wolford and Herschel (Tammy) of Glendive. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Absarokee Evangelical Church (34 S Woodard Ave, Absarokee, MT 59001). Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (119 3rd St SW, Rugby, ND 58368). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake View Mennonite Cemetery. A reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harvest Church (4628 78th St NE, Wolford, ND 58385).
