He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Maier and Mary Maier. He is survived by: his wife Deena Maier; his daughters, Kris Holmes (Paul) and Kim Haar (Bill); his stepchildren, Sean Hofstad (Shannon), Kris Hofstad (Ashton), Amber Hofstad-Vandenacre (Casey) and Nick Hofstad (Andrea); and his brother Bob Maier (Chris). He is also survived by two granddaughters; 8 step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a scholarship in Richard's name through Dollar for Scholars.
