She was predeceased by: her parents, Selma Tietz Luft and David Luft; her husbands, Eddie Hekkel and Ira Jensen; her friend Tom Nelson; and her sisters, Pauline Waldow and Lorraine Oelkers.
She is survived by: her children, Myrna Elgee (George), Claudine Hoyer (Larry), Jerry Hekkel (Garrison Kurtz) and Larry Hekkel (Beth); her siblings, Hulda Oelkers, Rose Oelkers, Leroy Luft (Agnes), Roger Luft, Vernon Luft (Liz) and Beverly Sundheim; and her sisters-in-law, Adeline and Jeanie Hekkel. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church.
