He was predeceased by: his brother Gene; and his half-brother Jerry. He is survived by: his children, Sue Thompson Kaufman, Cindy Larson, Vicki Taborsky, Lyle (Colleen), James and Tony; his sister Janice Denny of Boise, ID; and his half-brother Ray. He is also survived by six children, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren.
