He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lay and Esther Lay. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Lay (Munyan); and his children, Doug Lay (Kim), Wade Lay, Shelley Lay, Jared Lay (Heather), Andrew Lay (Richelle), Beth Kerr (Tori) and Randy Lay.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1610 E 6th Ave, Helena, MT 59601). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forestvale Cemetery (690 Forestvale Rd, Helena, MT 59602).
