He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Elmer Scheffler and Myrtle Gill Scheffler; and his siblings, Bud, Ed, Ted, Nellie, Mable, June and Helen.

He is survived by : his sons, Scott Theodore (Sandra) of Bozeman and Sandy Alan (Wendy); his wife Bonnie Marie Cote; his grandson Brandon of Florence; and his brothers-in-law, Pat and Lawrence (Cheri). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
