He was predeceased by: his siblings, Larry Deitchler and Thelma Beyl. He is survived by: his former wife Karen McMordie; his stepchildren, Angie Brickey (Bill) of Arlington, WA, Wendy Deitchler-Heidt of Eugene, OR, Michael McMordie (Robbi) of Fernley, NV and Pat McMordie (Candy) of Ontario, OR; his siblings, Barbara DeCock of Three Forks, Emory Deitchler (Mary Jo) of Meridian and Jeffrey Deitchler of Aurora, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Beyl of Rosebud and Christine Deitchler of Lovelady, TX. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He became afflicted by Parkinson's disease and in 2018 moved to his brother's home in Aurora, Colorado.
