He is survived by : his brother Gary Lee Robinson; his wife Kay Garner of Billings, MT; his siblings, Melvina Wagner of Florence, AZ, Denise Louise Gullickson of Kalispell, MT and Patrick Wayne Robinson of Longview, WA; his children, Jared Douglas Robinson, Architect and Joan Elizabeth James (Robinson); his son-in-law Kevin James; his stepson Jason Trang of Billings, MT; and his grandchildren, Joel, Rory, Jimmer, Zettie Belle James of Iowa, Hailey Wethern, Gunner and Gannon Trang of Montana. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

“My name is Frank Bain. I was very sorry to hear of Cowboy's passing. We were high school friends and played football together for 4 years. We lost track of each other after graduation but I have good memories of him and always admired him. I pray for his family through this time. I hope Gary is able to read this because I feel the same way about him!”
