It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Nelson (Gallatin Gateway, Montana), born in Pine River, Minnesota, who passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel P. McAllister and Hedwig McAllister (Norberg); her sons, Bradley Flategraff and Randall Flategraff; her brother Bruce; her sister-in-law Irene McAllister; her brother Lance McAllister; her siblings-in-law, Betty McAllister, Hazel McAllister, Roland Larson, Steven Tusa, LeRoy Swenson, William Gilman and John Nelson; and her grandson Raymond Flategraff.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin T. Nelson of Gallatin Gateway; her children, Mitchell Nelson (Cindy) of Gallatin Gateway, Marcyne Kennedy (David) of Chiloquin, OR, Merry Smith (Jerry) of Livingston and Michalyn Born (Tom) of Kingman, AZ; her sisters, Kathleen Tusa, Gail Larson and Helen Swenson; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Gilman of Missoula and Thomas Nelson of Four Corners. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
