He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thompson and Gladys Thompson; his children, Myrna and Douglas; his grandsons, Travis Michalski, Zac Nagengast and Kurt Owen; his great grandchild Ahnika Clark; and his siblings, Joyce Thompson, Mary Thompson, Heather Balock (John), Patrick Thompson of Sally's and Bruce Thompson (Jenny) of Sally's.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis M. Schultz of Dutton; his children, Evelyn Jensen (Mark), Elaine Clark (Dave) and Dari Thompson (Tammy); his brother David Thompson; and his stepchildren, Mike Owen (Debby), Teresa Michalski (Duane), Jack Owen (Kim) and Tammy Jones (Clark). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
