He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his son-in-law Paul; his parents, Joseph Wurtz and Anna Wurtz; and his siblings, Joe and Annie.
He is survived by: his children, Ed (Elsie), Joe (Susie), Tim (Katie), Mary (Paul) of Hidden Valley, Annie (Joe) of Hussar, Mathilda (Jonathon) of Hussar and Helen (Tim) of Milford; and his siblings, John (Margaret) of Riverview, Jake (Annie) of Miller, Mary of Miller and Elizabeth (Isaac) of Birch Creek. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
A wake was held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hidden Valley Colony Church (25210 Rd 90 S, Gildford, MT 59525). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
