He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Heafield and Norma Agnes Heafield (Dahl); his siblings-in-law, Donna Dinardi and Richard Pettersen; and his friend Clarence Vallard.
He is survived by: his wife Renasu Heafield (Pettersen) of Glendive; his children, Scott Heafield (Sandra Miller) of Evans, CO and Sonya Harnish (Gary) of Ranchester, WY; his grandson Colin Harnish (Amanda Tracy) of Laramie, WY; his sister Rev. Susan; his nephew Nathan Heafield of Cresco, PA; and his cousins, Leith and Yvonne Brew of Picton. He is also survived by sibling-in-laws, numerous cousins, extended family members, and in-law nieces and nephews.
In lieu of plants and flowers memorials suggested to a favorite charity or Hospice of Glendive.
