She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Mary Hedrick; her husband Orrin "Gary" Peterson; her brothers, Jim and Fritz; and her grandson Kyle.

She is survived by: her children, Karen (Shane Hendrickson), Kent (Kristina Peterson), Kelly (Jason Nelson) and Kristi (Ron Lynn); and her siblings, Vernelda Bumgarner (Hedrick), Virginia Dye (Hedrick), Larry and Jerry. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
