She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Schultz and Margie Schultz (Pugh); her husband Roger Burkstrand; and her daughter Kimberlee Burkstrand. She is survived by: her sister Mary Ann Burkstrand; her grandchildren, Margo Schurman, Scott Schurman, McCrea Schurman, Jami Forsman and RJ Forsman; her nephew Lionel Martin (Naomi); and her niece Cathy Drost.
