He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Gilliland; his parents-in-law, Joseph and JoAnn Guenther; and his uncle Larry Brittain. He is survived by: his wife Jodee Cortez; his sons, Chris Cortez, Zachary Cortez and Gavin Cortez; his daughter-in-law Imogen Trainor; his siblings, Susie Stallions, Patty Kingsley and Preston Kissee; his grandchildren, Callie Woods and Natalia Cortez; his cousins, Tyler Brittain and Jaymi Lang; his aunt Pauli; his stepfather Terry Kissee; his father-in-law Joel Guenther (Agnes); his brother-in-law Jeremy Guenther (Jan); and his nieces and nephews, Jared Guenther, Joshua Rabeneau, Joe Stallions, Cheyenne Komma, Shaelynn Kingsley, Ashton Kingsley and Brooke Berrett.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rose Room Chapel ~ Croxford Funeral (1307 Central Ave, Great Falls, MT 59401).
