He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harant and Zora Harant (Taras); his wife Sylvia; and his siblings, John (Olive), Bill, Bob (Jo), Jerry, Dorothy (Bob), Leone (DuWayne), Jere Maffit and Chuckâ.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Rory Peck; his sisters, Marilyn Wilson (Dee), Gail Zarr and Alice Smock; his daughters, Sarah Peck (Rory), Jenny Grasseschi (Mark) and Dawn Bushard (Dave); his grandchildren, Matthew Peck (Sabra), Stephen Peck, Meghan Horn (Stephen), Molly Reese (Taylor), Hannah McEntee, Luke McEntee, Brenna Adkins (Jeff), Baylee Bushard, Julia Bushard, Sophia Bushard, Nicole Maciel (Scott), Andrew Chapman and Patrick Chapman; his great grandchildren, Halen Glueckert, Alice Peck, Gabriel Peck, Charlotte Peck, Lucia Horn, Samuel Horn, Joseph Horn, Rayne Reese, Rowen Reese, Rhett Reese, Cooper Adkins, Zoey Adkins, Tyson Maciel and Victoria Maciel; and his friends, Don Hanson and Johnny Peco. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A major contribution to the community was his position as the Chairman of the Board for the Black Eagle-Cascade County Water & Sewer District since the district was acquired from the Anaconda Company in 1981.
