David Allan Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Allan Nelson in Great Falls, Montana, who passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles, Alice Nelson, Jack, Axtell Lynch and Barkley Ward; his siblings, Casey, Jerald Dansereau and Sheree Dansereau; and his stepparents, Melvin Ranes and Candace "Candy" Risingsun.
He is survived by: his parent Dana Cleo Ward Ranes; his wife Tonya Powell; his stepmother Wanell Fahrer; his children, Tyler, Christopher Nelson and Yvonne Nelson; his sisters, Carol Dansereau (Bruce Hall) and Christy "Chris" Nelson (Amanda Hendrix); his stepsister Anna Risingsun; his brother Joseph Dansereau (Nancy Nikelis); and his stepbrothers, Nickoma "Nick" Risingsun, Mikey Fahrer and Devon Risingsun. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Room Chapel ~ Croxford Funeral (1307 Central Ave, Great Falls, MT 59401). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Oddfellows Park (920 River Dr S, Great Falls, MT 59405).
