He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo McLaughlin and Virginia Bae McLaughlin; his brother Jerry McLaughlin; and his great grandchild Shelby McLaughlin. He is survived by : his wife Melody McLaughlin; his daughter Stehpannie Boot; his son-in-law Brian Boot; his daughter Kimberly McLaughlin; his stepdaughter Misty Cline; his grandsons, Bradley McLaughlin and Brandon Boot; and his great grandchildren, Liberty, Jamie and John McLaughlin. He is also survived by his family, friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
