It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Grover Atkins Jr. of Great Falls, Montana, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gina Atkins (Fields) and Grover Atkins; and his siblings, Tootsie Pennington, Margarite Brown, Hamp, Billy, Bobby, Doyle, Floyd and Smith Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Lavae Atkins (Merrill); his sons, Michael Atkins (Krista) and Thomas Atkins (Keri); his granddaughters, Abby Kanning (Thor) and Sophie Atkins (Ryan Chang); and his daughter-in-law Julie Pederson. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Conlin House (5515 Blue Jay Ln, Great Falls, MT 59405).
