She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Magda and Agnes Magda (Tordik); her child Laceen Ophus; her husband Lyle Ophus; and her granddaughter Laynee Ophus.
She is survived by: her children, Shane (Gwen) of Big Sandy, Clint (Jolene) of Havre, Lyla Brazier (Cody) of Pensacola, Reece of Big Sandy, Demra Brown of Big Sandy, Charna Seibert (Jordan) of Hampton, Landa Tartaglio (Troy) of Peoria, AZ., Kami Crass (Steve) of Lolo, Rashae Johnson (John Paul Huffer) of Chugiak and Clete Ophus (Jenna Erhard) of Big Sandy. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren; and more than 30 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church (364 Johannes Ave, Big Sandy, MT 59520).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Barbara's name be made to the Big Sandy Senior Center or St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Big Sandy.
