He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arlene Blackbird Sandoval and Floyd Hopkins; his grandparents, Manny, George, Ella Blackbird and Ella Cloud Robe; his aunts and uncles, Margaret "Peggy" Ball, Angela Denny, Jean Campbell, Bernice "Beanie" Johnson, Leona "Moldy" Small, George Blackbird II, Walter Blackbird and Robert Blackbird; his cousin Elmer Blackbird; his nieces and nephews, Mardell Castillo and Elmeretta Blackbird; his extended family Clarena Brockie; and his friends, Lesa Muckley, Kate Miller, Linda Hofer, Shelly Fiant, Sheila Lipps, Evanne Deines, Luana Ross and Sandra Counter.
He had several contributions to Buffalo Bill Historical Center and exhibits.
