He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whitehorse, and Janice Whitehorse, Sr. (Caulder); his grandparents, John, Julia Whitehorse and Agnes Gopher; his aunt Viola; his brothers, Emil Longneck and Joseph Whitehorse, Jr.; and his uncles, Melvin, Robert and Russell Gopher.
He is survived by: his children, Jaylee Jo Whitehorse of Great Falls and Leonard Whitehorse, Jr. of Bozeman; and his siblings, Donald "Ducky" Whitehorse of Havre, Tammy Williams of Whitefish, Mavis Whitford (Don) of Evergreen, Valerie "Buggy" Twoteeth of Helena and Julia Whitehorse of Wyoming. He is also survived by one granddaughter; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
