It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Thomas Gruber of Havre, Montana, born in Cut Bank, Montana, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Robert Gruber; his wife Terri Hirst; and his mother Joan Phillips (Bartlett). He is survived by : his children, Sherri Larson (Eric) of Oronoco, MN, Allen Gruber of Butte, Tyson Gruber of Bozeman and Thomas Gruber of Columbia Falls; his grandchildren, Jordan, Kyle Larson and Tucker Gruber; and his siblings, Terri Gruber of Spokane, WA, Cathy Anderson (Jim) of Boise, ID and Jeff Gruber (Doreen) of Libby. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many, many friends.

“I am so sad at Roger's passing and empathize for his family in their loss. Though I only knew him during his elementary school years in Libby, Montana, when we were classmates at Central Elementary School and Asa Wood Middle School, he left a strong impression on me as a friend during those years. I remember him, even in those days, as kind, compassionate, and helpful. We were also Cub Scouts together and enjoyed adventures in the town and mountains of the Kootenai Valley. -- Brian M. Gay”
