He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Mae Lewis; his son Jeff Thomas; and his mother Santa Monica. He is survived by: his brother Chuck Thomas (Karen) of Hobson; his siblings-in-law, Dick and Cleo Lewis of Billings; his son Mark Thomas (Karen) of Billings; his grandchildren, Austin Thomas (Nicole), MacAllister, Dawson, Grady of Billings and Taylor Fortier (Joe); his daughter Sheri Derks (Keith) of Hobson; and his grandchildren, Cole Derks Collins (Michelle), Seeley, Hayes, Wells of Billings, Whitney Mitchell Archer (Joe), Monte, Poppy of Helena, Evan Derks (Emily), Kelby, Callen, Avery and Ella of Hobson. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Philbrook Cemetery (1658 Hobson Philbrook Rd, Hobson, MT 59452).
