He was predeceased by: his former wife Donna Lee Fong (Braxmeier) of Dickinson, ND; his daughter Connie Fong; his parents, Einar Fong and Zella Fong (Connell); his siblings, Gene Fong, Glenda Fong, Bonnie Howard (Fong), Cherilyn Sorum (Fong) and Janice Williams (Fong); his brothers-in-law, Danny Nelson, James Williams (Estel) and Arlen Sorum; and his nephew Allen Sorum.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Fong; his children, Kelly Michel (Brent), Ruthie Suess (Jim), Ward Fong (Alma) and Cory Fong (Cecily); his grandchildren, Eric Michel (Rachel), Katie Reilly (Devon), Tyler Suess (Kate Stevens), Zach Suess, Jennie Thomason (Ryan), Kyle Phillips (Jodie) and Conrad Eggers (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Natalie, Lauren Michel, Holden, Trace Reilly, Lincoln, Finley Thomason, Zella Phillips and Liam Eggers; his stepdaughter Vicki Pratt; his grandson Russ Harshberger; his son Greg Harshberger; and his grandson Mike Harshberger.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home (3750 N Montana Ave, Helena, MT 59602). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery- Fort Harrison (3550 Heroes Rd, FORT HARRISON, MT 59636).
