He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Murfitt and Hester Murfitt; his wife Barbara Langlois; his grandson Michael; his siblings, Zach Murfitt (Beverly), Walter Murfitt (Myrtle), Zalia Logan (George) and Donalda Maness (Jim); his niece Noretta Anderberg; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Neal and Mick Neal.
He is survived by: his children, Brad (Jennifer), Russ (Lori), Linda (Rick), Steve (Gigi) and Janice (Doug); his sister Nina Krakenberg; his grandchildren, Kendra Routh (Justin), Heidi Clemes (Troy), Allyson Helde (Shawn), Christopher Murfitt, Zane Murfitt (Kelsey), Gabe Murfitt (Ryanne), Kate Bratz (Cody), Joe (Alana) and Laura Fix (Sloan); and his great grandchildren, Hudson, Kenli Routh, Maycee, Cambree Jeanotte, Avery, Ellison, Marlowe Murfitt, Henry, Ellie, Finn Murfitt, Olivia, Gavin and Brielle Helde.
