William Schottelkorb wrote a sympathy message

“Walt was definitely a gentleman-hiker. I always enjoyed the peacefulness of his company and several of his dove ice-cream ba(h)rs as well. I know he was a dear friend of my grandfather Ivan's and that he will be missed by many. In Wisconsin, we have nothing that comes close to Glacier Park's mountain majesty, but when it warms up a bit I will take my family on a Walt Bahr Memorial Hike. Rest in Jesus' eternal care, Walt, and His healing be with all family and friends. Andy Schottelkorb”
