He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Capron and Mae Capron (Beckstrom); his wife Marilyn Capron; his former wives, Roberta Branam and Virginia Capron; and his siblings, Helen Wall and Frank Capron.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Capron (Dianne) of Billings, Montana, Pamela Wright (Ken) of Cody, Wyoming and John Capron (Katie) of Cheyenne, Wyoming.; his grandchildren, Carmen Combs, Rosie Capron-Rivera, Jacob Capron and Kinley Capron; his great grandchildren, Bridger Rivera and Chloe Combs; his brother Joe Capron of Eugene; and his caregiver Sylvia Stapp of Billings.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Yellowstone National Cemetery (55 Buffalo Trail Rd, Laurel, MT 59044).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Harvest Church in Billings, Montana, in John's memory.
