With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Paulette McLelland of Laurel, Montana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Schaaf and Eva Schaaf; her husband Karl McLelland; and her siblings, Bernadine Schaaf, Genevieve Schaaf, Valentine Schaaf and Paul Schaaf.
She is survived by: her children, James Barth Jr. (Robin), Vanessa Newman (Gerald), Stephanie Spragg, Mark McLelland and Mandy McLelland Giesick; her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Abbie, Ophelia, Noah and Ryder; and her siblings, Vivian Michales (John), Carol Kimmel (Floyd), Eva Larsen, Theresa "Terri" Devitt (Randy) and Jerry Schaaf.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel & Columbus (315 E 3rd St, Laurel, MT 59044). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Laurel Cemetery (50 Buffalo Trail Rd, Laurel, MT 59044).
