He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Shay and Emma Shay; his former wife Beverly Vogelsang of Riverton, WY.; and his stepchildren, Greg Vogelsang and Lisa Burkland.
He is survived by: his son Victor Shay (Diana); his siblings, Lela Patera (Robert), Mel Shay (Bonnie) and Paula Bailey (Todd); his grandchildren, Kaelen Shay, Victoria Donally (Logan) and Brandon Burkland; his great grandchild Finn Donally; and his wife Carolyn Weigel of Laurel.
