We announce the death of Don McKinlay (Lewistown, Montana), who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 87. Don will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McKinlay and Frances McKinlay (Nemec); his wife Jean McKinlay; his close friend Fanny Parker; and his brothers, Raymond and John.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Kline; his grandsons, Tyler Brown and Ian Kline; his great grandchildren, Jackson Brown, Emma Jean Kline, Ravena Taylor, Samuel and Stetson Kline; and his sister Hazel McKinlay.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Creel Funeral Home (601 W Main St, Lewistown, MT 59457). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Buffalo-Straw Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Labre Indian School or any Native American cause.
