He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Butenhoff and Mathilda Butenhoff (Reidel); his former wife Marilyn Cole; and his siblings, Richard, Young, Walt, Grace Kara (Butenhoff), Melvin, Delores Butenhoff (Carlson), Floyd and Dorothy Butenhoff (Taasaas).
He is survived by: his children, Charles and Therese Butenhoff (O'Keefe) of Aitkin, MN.; and his great grandchildren, Sean, Ashley Adams (Butenhoff), Norah, Charlie and Hattie.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 320 Country Club Ln, Lewistown, MT 59457.
A celebration of George's life will be held at the Elks Club on Thursday, July 10, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Memorials can be offered to the Central Montana Foundation Parks and Rec. Fund, please memo the donation for "tree restorations" at the D'Autremont Softball Complex.
