Ruth Stayton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Stayton (Libby, Montana), who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruth is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruth's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russ Whitefield and Mabel Whitefield. She is survived by: her husband Tom Stayton; her children, Jeanne Crawford of Libby and Catfish Stayton (Sandy) of Escondido, CA; and her grandchildren, Tamara Dar, Eric Stayton of Oceanside, CA and Chelsea Smith of Greeley, CO. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Libby United Methodist Church (713 Main Ave, Libby, MT 59923).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Libby Senior Citizens Center.
