She was predeceased by : her parents, Dewey Thompson and Louise Jarrett Thompson; and her sister Shirley Maroney (Gayle). She is survived by : her husband Robert; her children, Wendy Prather (Sean) and Perry Seely (Andrea); her grandchildren, Ashley, Colin and Aiden; her stepgrandchildren, Alyson Ankney, Alexander Ankney and Ruby Levy; her siblings, Patsy Brandon (Dean), Gayle Belcher (Herb), Marcia Noe (Larry) and James Thompson (Judy); and her in-laws, Janet Louden (Dennis), Kathleen Irby (Lynn) and Dorothy Havlerson (Terrace). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, very special friends and "found" children.

Sandy donated her time baking and quilting and supporting the American Legion Auxiliary, holding officer positions as Secretary and Treasurer.
