It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Eklund (Malta, Montana), who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Trottier and Annastasia Trottier (Gladeau); her siblings, Buzz, Lloyd, Jerry, Laura, Ruth, Irene and Joan; her children, Coby, Tim and Lala; and her grandson Derek.
She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Tracy Eklund of Malta, Barbie Kountz (Lincoln) of Glasgow and Misty Geer (Jason) of Havre; and her sisters, Dolly and Dede. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives, including a stepdaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wilderness Funeral Homes (202 S 2nd St E, Malta, MT 59538). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
