He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gaughan and Elizabeth Gaughan (Harrison); his former wife Rachel Nay; his wife Loretta; his son Samuel; and his siblings, Patrick, John, Mary, Margaret, Ann, Sara and Kathleen.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Gaughan (Linda) and Sharon Gaughan; his stepdaughter Tera Butler (Scott); his grandchildren, Jay Gaughan (Hannah), Darsen Gaughan (Jess), Olinda Peplinski (Tyler) and Chance Butler; and his adoptive daughter Montana. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
