He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. William E. and Elsie Harris; his wife Linda K. Harris; his sister Jean Marie Orvis (John); and his niece Lauren Nicole Orvis. He was also cherished by several cousins; and many good, lifelong friends.

After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, Bill died peacefully at home on August 30, 2021.
