He is survived by: his wife Elsie Ann (Rebich) of Missoula; his sister Helen Kay Leybold of Portland, OR.; his children, Dirk Eugene (Norlynn Marie Bruce) of Helena, Julie Ann (Steve Thor Fagenstrom) of Great Falls, Rodney John (Christine Marie Compson) of Billings and Erik Andrew (Susan Jane Cox) of Condon; his grandchildren, Jonathan Eugene (Jazmin Sophia Rivers), Sonja Marie (Wayne Rockford Rulon), Lynnea Elizabeth (Clayton Lee Hacker), Daniel Bernard, Michelle Ann (Cody Marden), Tanner William (Janna Renae Kerk), Logan John, Brooks Robert, Shane Andrew (Paxton Rae Bignell), Delaney Michelle and Jordan McKenzie; and his great grandchildren, Henry Eugene Nelson, Charles Eugene Nelson, Ryan Wayne Rulon, Rosalynn Marie Rulon, Sloane Elizabeth Hacker, Elsie Mae Thompson, Kendall Colette Nelson, Kelsey Mary Nelson and Rhett Kolbe Nelson.
A rosary was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (226 S Atlantic St, Dillon, MT 59725). A burial was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (934 Sweetwater Rd, Dillon, MT 59725). A reception was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
