He is survived by: his wife Brenda Russell; his children, Andrew Hauer (Alisha) and Bethany Hauer McKethen (Russell); his grandchildren, Adara, Makana, Isabella, Roman, Duane and Derek; and his stepbrother Keith Leich (Noreen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
