He was predeceased by: his parents, Chancey Hoppe and Tynne Hoppe (Korpi); his siblings, John Hoppe (Jack), Frances Maronge and Robert Hoppe; his stepsister Mary Vee Wildenberg; his daughters, Linda Sue and Pamela Hoppe; and his granddaughter Deborah Alteneder.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, Laurie Alteneder (Forrest), James Hoppe (Candace), Joel Hoppe, Carrie Hoppe, Sarah Carter (William) and Timothy Hoppe (Ronnie); and his siblings, Thomas Hoppe and Mary Lou Armstrong. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
