He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon E. Swanson and Ina M. Swanson. He is survived by: his sisters, Linnea Kahler (Roger) and Cheryl Galipeau Lucas (Rick) of Missoula; his nieces, Stacey Richards (Blake) of Missoula, Rebecca Austin (Ryan) of Shelby, MT and Amy Galipeau of Missoula; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kayler Austin, Ali Austin, Colt Austin, Beau Richards, Brock Richards and Evren Keeley; and his aunt Jean.
The group has gathered for beverages and dinner, rarely missing a week (Covid closures) for almost 50 years.
