She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Janith Eaton and William Anderson; her husband Larry Goehner; her son Allen Sasser-Goehner (Molly Sasser-Goehner); her grandsons, Luke and Leo Sasser-Goehner; her son Erik Goehner (Desta Goehner); her grandchildren, Maya, Dryden and Piper Goehner; and her sisters, Tami Green, Karen and Kathy.

The hospital was a favorite charity of Joy's because of their cancer treatment, especially for children.
