“Mack was my freshman year roommate at the University of Portland in 1971-72. Great person and tough! He arrived at school just after he had suffered serious injury to his left leg following a terrible motorcycle accident in Montana. His injury required him to dress his leg wounds several times a day throughout the year. Undeterred, and without complaint despite the pain, he quietly pursued a full load of academic courses without missing a step. Amazing! God bless him and may he rest in peace.”
