He was predeceased by : his parents, John Chaffee and Ellen Chaffee (Lien); his wives, Norma and Julie; his brother Richard; and his son Todd.

He is survived by : his children, Lisa Everson (Danny), Julie and Jon (Beth); his grandchildren, Erica Richardson-Tranmer (Adam), Scott Richardson, Jeremy Brown, McKenna Brown, Camden Brown and Aaron Brown; and his great grandchildren, Nellie Tranmer, Thomas Tranmer and Emmie Tranmer.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (1800 4th St NW, Austin, MN 55912).
