He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecile Cullooyah and Pedro Asencio; his son Rodney Carbrera; his aunt Oshanee Cullooyah Kenmille; his siblings, Ben Asencio and Virgina Charlo; and his aunt Madeline Isaac Finley.
He is survived by: his children, Noreen Hutchinson-LaForge, Bryan Hutchinson (Melaine), Maglene Asencio, Benny Asencio (Melaine), Denalene Falls Down (Van), Melvin Asencio, Kaneeta Asencio-Briggs, Milan Asencio, Kim Cabrera and Cameron Asencio; and his sister Josephine Asencio Gonzalas (JoAnn "Dode" Asencio). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
