He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Simons and Zelma Simons (Trusket); his siblings, Dean, Jim, Carolyn Wiess and Sharon Collum; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Simons, Judi DeVries, Dolores Simons, Ken DeVries, Wayne Collum, Ed and Martha DeVries.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Ann DeVries; his son Art (April); his nephew Jimmy (Cyndy); his grandchildren, Casey, Sydney, Justine, Jarred, Savanna, Hayden and Connor; his brothers, Richard and Larry Simons (Dee); his siblings-in-law, Frank DeVries, Dave Wiess and Lynette DeVries; and his godchildren, Kenny DeVries, Tara Frank, Barb, Pam, Kathy, Scotty, Leslie, Lisa, Bob Jody, LeeAnn, Doug, Sue, Don, Dave, Connie, Cari, Wendy, Ed, Jeanette, Steve, Lacy, Candi, Keri, Kenton, Sheila, Reiney, Christan, Jennifer, Haley, David, Jordon, Madison and Kinsey.
