He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Kappel and Magdalene "Madge" Kappel; his brother John Kappel; his parents-in-law, Betty and Jake Groscop; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Groscop, Lynda Groscop and Barbara Groscop.
He is survived by : his close friends, Bill and Linda Strauch; his wife Peggy Groscop; his daughters, Valerie Nauman (Rod), Julie Osborne (Joel) and Kara Kappel-Wittenberg (Brett); his siblings, Richard Kappel (Lorna), Delores Fox (Terry) and Kathleen Baumgartner (Craig); his siblings-in-law, Donna Kappel, Don and Curt Groscop; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Shane, Daniel, Kylie, Kylan and Keenan; his great grandchildren, Emmersyn, Eloise, Kynzlie, Kazen, Declan and Willow; and his sons, Jim and Joe Hodnik.
